Live Animal Import Restriction from Namibia Lifted
The Importation of Animals and Animal Products from Namibia to South Africa, and the Rift Valley Fever Outbreak in Namibia"The Trade Restrictions placed on various commodities from Namibia have been lifted, with the following conditions:
- The Directorate Animal Health will allow the importation of live ruminants but the animals may not transit through a Rift Valley Fever infected zone during transportation and the animals must originate from an area that is not within 5km radius of any farms under restriction for Rift Valley Fever.
