SAFA
SA Feedlot Association
The South African Feedlot Industry markets 1,5 million young grainfed beef carcases annually into mostly the domestic market. The SA Feedlot Association is a voluntary organisation representing this industry on all the relevant State and Industry Bodies; it operates a confidential data base for members supplying historical industry purchase, marketing and comparative production information as well as compiling various industry related codes and guidelines. The SAFA is the service provider to the entire Red Meat Industry on all Beef Promotion and Consumer Education matters. SAFA will address any matter that impacts its members. The Executive Committee elected annually comprises of nine (9) feedlot members and the Executive Director. SAFA hosts an annual Cattleman`s Conference in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting in March every year.
