The Role of the Trustees
The Trustees
The RMRDT Trust and the Meat Industry Trust (MIT) is managed by the same trustees. Trustees are appointed to make decisions about the investments and management of the funds, as well as how much money is to be used and for what purpose.
The trustees are appointed as follows, three appointees by the Meat Industry Forum and three Ministerial appointees.
The tasks of the trustees of the trust are to:
- Manage the financial affairs
- sound and wise investment of the funds
- approve the project budgets as compiled by the planning committees
- make funds available for research projects to be conducted by research institutions
